OMG! I feel like a zombie. I had to get up this morning and the get the kids out of bed and dressed and fed, all while it was pitch black outside. I could have slept so much longer! Ugh! I want to go back to bed, but I'd feel like such a bum if I did. LOL Who came up with this Daylight Savings Time idea anyway? They need to be strung up by their fingernails! I don't get why we can't just leave it alone....

I know after about a week, I get used to it, but man... that first week is...

Well, most of you guys know I had a miscarriage at the end of November. It was tough, but I am pregnant again and I am due October 11th. My dr. did an ultrasound and we got to see the heartbeat, so that made me feel a lot better. I am on a medicine called Prometrium, which helps with my Progesterone levels, but it also makes me very tired and, sometimes, dizzy.

Anyway, my hubby and the kids and I are very excited. Wish me luck!!

My hubby's grandfather, Grandpa Auggie, went into surgery yesterday to have two valves in his heart replaced. Fifteen years ago, he had a pig valve put in and now it was time to replace that one and another valve that was going bad. The dr. said that when he got in there, there was so much calcification on the old pig valve and his own tissue where it was attached, that it was like porcelain. When he tried to stitch the new valve in place the calcified part kept breaking off. His heart became...

The kitchen floor is made of old tiles, that when wet, are incredibly slippery. There have been several times before that I have nearly slipped over, as have others.

But on Tuesday the floor was still wet from being mopped after lunch time, several hours because it doesnt dry. I was going to the sink and my foot slipped under the shelf under the sink, so to not break my leg I grabbed out with my hand and ended up slamming into the corner of the metal sink.

It has been years since Ive been to any New Orleans Mardi Gras parades and I decided that this year Id go ahead and take my kids so that they could see what its like. My uncle had a grand stand just past Lee Circle along the Zulu parade route. It was a wonderful spot. We were eye level with the float riders and we caught a BUNCH of stuff. The kids, especially Anna and Jacob, had so much fun. Leah was ready to leave about 3/4 of the way through the parade. She had had enough by that point....

I went to see my Dr yesterday as last week I was in a lot of pain.

I have something wrong with the top of my spine, the cushiony stuff that surrounds your nerves to protect them swells up and pushes on them, which in turn causes phantom pains in my hands most often, sometimes my elbows and shoulders and when really bad my toes and my knees. I first went because I thought I had artheritis, but the pain isnt 'real' in the sense something is wrong there, its all from my neck.

20,000 homes here where without water... and the hospital too. We have flooding, power outage too.

My water is back on now thankfully, but my school isnt so I have the day off today after we opened Monday and Tuesday and had to send the kids home again.

Its crazy, fights broke out in shops over bottled water. It was off a day and a half, then back, then off again... but people turned feral in that time span! Now you see why order degenerates in war torn countries so quickly,...
